Several manufacturers and diving enthusiasts have considered it important to evaluate a shared disinfection protocol with a leading company in the infection prevention sector, such as Vioxten. In addition to obtaining approval from DAN (Divers Alert Network), Vioxten has been able to provide all the international certifications for the active ingredient, which has also been tested on more resistant bacteria and viruses.

To preserve the quality and efficiency of the equipment, we conducted tests in immersion tanks using the disinfectant product Rely+On™ Virkon™, and we obtained excellent results in terms of compatibility as well.

The immersion procedure

The conducted test focused on the immersion procedure for regulators, wetsuits, and jackets at a ratio of 1:600, which is 10g per 6 liters for a contact time of 10 minutes. This contact time, certified by the manufacturer, is sufficient to eliminate contamination from various families of viruses.

  • Visept tablets: 5g tablets for 500ml of solution.
  • Visept clean safe mini kit: a pocket-sized and personal kit to be quickly used at any time during underwater activities.

These products, available in concentrated powder and tablet form (for easy storage), have a broad-spectrum action, low chemical risk (non-polluting for groundwater), and high biocidal activity.
